The Northern Witness

Just letting everyone know!!

ICE is now operating on Canadian soil under the claim of protecting U.S. national security and stopping crime before it reaches the United States. Canadians deserve clear answers. Who approved this, what oversight exists, and how is our sovereignty being protected? Allowing a foreign enforcement agency to act here without full transparency is unacceptable. The government’s silence only deepens public mistrust and raises serious questions about accountability and national autonomy.

Hi, I’m Michelle Williams. I’m a writer living in Québec, and I’m grateful you’re here. Writing has always been the place where I slow down, breathe, and try to understand the things that stay with us—the shadows we carry, the moments that change us, and the quiet strength that rises when we least expect it. My stories come from those places, from the edges where the natural and the supernatural brush against each other. I’m drawn to thresholds, the in‑between spaces where memory, spirit, and resilience meet. The North shapes my voice: its storms, its stillness, and its honesty. You’ll feel that in my characters too. They walk through uncertainty, transformation, and the kind of courage that doesn’t announce itself but grows quietly in the dark. This blog is where I share pieces of the worlds I’m building, glimpses into my novels, reflections on the themes that haunt me, and the ideas that keep pulling me back to the page. I also write about sovereignty, justice, and spiritual resilience, because those forces shape the way I see the world and the stories I tell. Thank you for stepping into this space with me. I hope something here finds you at the right moment—a sentence, a feeling, a spark. And if you choose to stay a little longer, there’s more I’d like to show you.
